We welcome you into the dog bowl here at the cross country mortgage campus in Berea, Ohio for another installment of the best podcast available training camp edition.

I'm Jason Gibbs and here's what went on in Berea on day nine of training camp. First and foremost, the Browns got some guys back today as they went pads for a second straight day.

Ricky wide receiver David Bell and wide receivers Anthony Schwartz and Javan Wims returned plus linebacker Anthony Walker Jr. returned to practice as well.

In addition, the team signed defense event Chris Odom to the roster and placed defense events Steven Weatherly on injured reserve with the knee injury.

Odom, out of Arkansas State, most recently played for the Houston gamblers of the USFL in 2022. He was named the USFL defense player of the year after leading the league with 12 and a half sacks.

One other note from today, rookie Alex Wright did briefly leave the field with trainers, but did end up returning later on in practice.

On the downside head coach Kevin Stefansky announced that emerging sixth rounder Michael Woods, the second will miss some time with a hamstring injury.

He suffered it during Wednesday's practice, a re-injury of the ailment that cost him much of the offseason program.

Here's wishing Woods a speedy recovery as the sixth rounder was really playing well in the early part of camp in terms of the play on the field today.

To Sean Watson intercepted by Greg Newsom, the second after Watson's past bounced off of tight end, David Najoku.

The offense committed a few more turnovers today, clearly not one of their best days of camp so far.

That means the defense had themselves a day. MJ Emerson started opposite Greg Newsom, the second with the ones.

Javante Moffit with an interception against Jacobi Berset, the defense continuing to stack strong performances.

Clip number one head coach Kevin Stefansky asked if he thinks rookie wide receiver David Bell can catch up and if he'll suit up Friday in Jacksonville.

I do America. He's really intelligent. He had a nice spring for us.

We moving around the formation. He picked it up pretty quickly.

So we're excited about getting him back out here like anything.

You know, I want him to catch up real fast and I know he does too, so he's excited to be back out.

Did he play Jacksonville?

I think we'll see. You know, with him coming off, I'll see how he does today.

The next day, those type of things, but I'm not rolling them out.
