song out of my head. I love it so much. But this episode gets the full

stoop treatment looking at and complicating our relationship to American country music.

You'll hear from Hanna, who talks about her Sudanese mom's love of American country artists

like Kenny Rogers, and how and why these songs, which have typically represented white Western American culture,

have been totally embraced by many Africans.

It's really fascinating.
