Undoubtedly, the closest that I will get to the summer Olympics will be the fact that I've been to London, Ohio and through Paris, Illinois.

But our next guest on the program, making his return visit, we in no way, shape, or form are going to take credit for the fact that it was his appearance on this program that catapulted him into the honor that has been bestowed upon him within the last 48 hours.

But Chris Plum, who is, of course, the head swimming coach at Carmel High School, is now also,

gentlemen, put your hands together and applaud a recent named member of the coaching staff for the United States swim team for the summer

Olympics in Paris, Illinois.

And he joins us on the program.

It's great to be bestowed with that honor and cannot wait to get over to Paris and represent Team USA and Carmel, Indiana, and Indiana in general.

How did this all come about? And pardon my ignorance for that, but when did this discussion begin and how did it all kind of take place?

Yeah, well, you know, right before the meet started, the head meds coach, Anthony Nesty,

who I was with on staff last year for World Championships said, hey, coach, we love what

you did last year.

If things work out, you know, we think you would be a great fit for this year's

team. And I was like, this is great. I got to get, I got to get some athletes on the team first.

And then right before, like, second to last prelim session, he pulled me over and said,

would you love to be on staff?

And I said, he goes, well, you need to talk to your wife.

I go, I don't need to talk to my wife.

I'm going.

Let's go.
