We get a lot of requests daily about advice on how to handle these marital conflicts that involve

family members. So we really wanted to take some time to address these

big family issues this month here at Awesome Marriage. So today we're going to be talking

specifically about leaving and cleaving and what that means. So Dr. Kim, let's just dive right in.

Where did this idea of leaving and cleaving come from? Seems to be God's idea, since he makes it in the Bible.

He talks about men to leave his basic family of origin and be united to his wife.

And so it's kind of interesting.

You know, we think about, yeah, you get married and you leave and you go with your spouse

and everything, but God created marriage.

It was important, but he also stressed the fact of leaving and cleaving.
