As our girl Karen in the chat pointed out, we are now 54 days away from Notre Dame kicking

off their 2026 season against the Wisconsin Badgers up in Lambeau Field.

And there are some things that have to be ironed out on both sides of the ball.

We're sticking consistent with the theme that we've had this offseason where we're talking

about offense on Tuesday and we'll talk about defense on Thursday.

Today we're going to be talking about the position battles on the offensive side of the ball.

And this is one where

no, it's not as high octane as last year's where it's who's going to be the starting quarterback

and who's going to step into this role. But there are a lot of position battles that are worth

discussing as Notre Dame prepares to gear up for fall camp. I would say more position battles, just less spotlight position battles like last year,

you know, where it's like, you know, it was quarterback.

Oh, okay, that's a pretty big one.

You know, there weren't a lot of, you know, maybe slot receiver.

There weren't any battles at tight end.

I don't know, you know, right guard once Jagassaw went down, right guard became one. But yeah,

there weren't a lot of battles, but they were, the one they had was a big one. And it certainly

took up a lot of oxygen. But there's, as you mentioned, Treb, there's some very important position

battles that are going to be raged in summer, and they started in the winter, carried into the spring.

They will continue in the summer, and then, of course, they'll continue in fall camp.
