Let's jump into show number two.

And let's move the conversation to what we would like to see changed or, you know, not necessarily change, but, you know, changes that we would like to see on the defensive side of the football.

And, you know, I want you to be able to set this up because you kind of talked about

it a little bit at the beginning of the show but i want you to be able to set this show up and

kind of the direction that we're going to head in it uh because there are some people out there

that are going to take it from a little bit too broad,

a little bit too easy of a way to go about things.

And so, you know, I want you to set up how this show is going to look and kind of what we're

going to be talking about.

Yeah, we've spent a lot of time this offseason talking about some of the things that we need to see change on the defensive side of the ball.

And gosh, we spend ample amounts of time talking about what Chris Ash should have done, what we did see him do, and what we didn't see him do.

Basically, what we're doing in this part of the Irish Breakdown podcast brought to by our friends over at Fandul is we're going to be talking about the changes and adjustments that we want to see moving forward. Now look, we hear a lot of be who you were the final seven games of the regular season. And that'd be a very, especially yesterday, thus the name, Irish Breakdown. It'd be a very lazy take of just like, just do that. And thank you for coming

Appreciate it. Exactly. You know, wear your seatbelt, drive safe, all that stuff. What does that

look like, though? What were those changes from last year that we wanted to see? Now, we kind of

separate this conversation into two different buckets. And we're talking more big picture philosophical changes we want to see on defense. Then we're going to get into more schematic changes. Now, I don't know if either of us are going to be able to talk through the in-depth X's and O's to the degree that Brian can. That's just the special skill that he has, and I'm going to apologize right now that I'm not going to be able to live up to that

degree of what is able to do.

That's why Irish breakdown is what it is.

But when you start talking about what the Notre Dame defense has to change,

you need to start up top.

And changes are different than improvements.
