All right, Brian, and part two of today's show here in the Irish Breakdown podcast,

We're going to keep talking about the interior of Notre Dame's defensive line. We spent part one talking about kind of the expectations of the group as a whole and the role that Charlie Partridge is going to play in that. Now we're going to kind of talk about some of the assets that are at his disposal. And we've broken these down to different types of categories, I guess would be the best way to phrase that.

And it's a little bit different than some of the other position previews that we've done,

but we've sorted these into different buckets.

But it starts with the biggest question, Brian, is does Notre Dame have the talent in this

room to be an elite defensive tackle room? And I think that they do. Yeah. They at least have the talent in this room to be an elite defensive tackle room?

And I think that they do.

Yeah.

They at least have the talent, in my opinion, Trevor, to be a really good group.

They at least have that.

And will they play to that level?

Obviously, remains to be seen. But you have a proven player in Francis Brew, a proven all-ACC player. So yes, you do have an understanding of what he's bringing to the table. Somebody earlier in the chat said, you know, we don't really know what he's going to bring. Yeah, we have a pretty good idea. You can ask Gerby Lambert and Joe Odding and Southern Abser what

what Francis Brew brings to the table and they're going to tell you, that guy was a headache for us. Now, there's a system change and there's some things he's going to have to adapt to, but you have an idea of what he brings to the table. You have a floor of what he brings. You have a floor of what Tion Gray brings at a table.

Then you look at a guy like Jason O'Neay,

and you have to ask some questions, like, okay, well, what version of Jason O'Neary are we going to get for most of the season or in the bigger games? Are we going to get the version that's just kind of there, eating up space? Are we going to get the version that's an impact player that is, it's hard to block.

I mean, I still remember two springs ago.

When I'm watching their name offensive line, I'm thinking, dude, they can't block this guy.

The whole spring, they can't block this guy.

Well, he was starting to then show that in 2025.

I mean, he was starting to kind of, or 2024, he was starting to,

his game was starting to really take off. You know, the Purdue game, especially,
