I'm back again with the best of, This is part two with our Jerry Salts interviews.

Again, the first best of was Jerry Salts when he came to our podcast in 2019.

This one is from December 2022 when he was on tour promoting Artis Life, his anthology of essays

and reviews that he's done over the years, icons and iconoc class visionaries and

vigilantes and flashes of hope in the night by the Pulitzer Prize winning critic Jerry Salts and if you listen to this

podcast we do plenty of callbacks to Jerry somebody we love very much and again we will get you some new podcast soon I can't tell exactly when but we are working

diligently on really changing things up as we've mentioned over the years and very grateful

for your patience we We are busy doing

dinner time live and a bunch of other TV projects but this

podcast is central to what we do and we just wanted it to update everything

something we never got to do when the world shut down in 2020 and we've made plenty of pivots along the way and we want this to be a long lasting sort of pivot as we move forward.

So before we get in the interview with Jerry Salts,

I wanted to give you some musings and some ramblings.

Number one, New York Times, a couple of weeks ago,

had an article about Pizza being Awesome in America and it didn't give enough of a nod to

Chris Bianco. Again I'm biased she's one of my closest friends and there are other

great pizza makers for sure but Chris isn't just a pizza maker is just a great chef outstanding I think he's won every beard award possible including you know

Outstanding chef in America etc but I wanted to talk about three pizzas of the head, starting off with a pizza that I've had.

Recently, I shared it with Bill Simmons last week, Pizzeria Bianco, downtown Los Angeles

Thoreau. And I don't know if he serves this in his Arizona
