One of the best things about my job is that I never know how a conversation is going to go.

Sometimes a simple question like how's your day going can lead to an

unexpected answer. My day was great thank you very much I caught a 150 pounds

loaf and tuna this morning.

Oh my God!

I actually did not catch this one.

As a friend of mine who caught it and I only got the privilege to cut it in pieces.

Wow, and where did this happen? What part of the world?

And California, in Los Angeles.

That's amazing, but where did he fish the fish? Where did the fish come from?

From LA. Actually from LA. Like it was in the water off our coast? Yes it was so in California you are very lucky because once a year you have a very healthy and

beautiful run of bluefin tuna and the stock

are very, very well preserved here and it's actually a good thing to eat in California.

Can you hear the incredulity in my voice? Like what? You were spearfishing

to know here in Los Angeles this morning?

To me, this is incredible.

But to Valentine Thomas, it's just another day at the office.
