Here I'll point to one of the primary points which is that in every interaction you are being

created and you're creating the person you're interacting with.

If you take that seriously, there's a degree of responsibility that it comes with. If you take that seriously, there's a degree of responsibility

that it comes with that.

And if you engage with that, the degree of the nature of your interactions

and the nature of your relationships will be

transformed I think in ways that will allow you to expand yourself and you to have more clarity about your influence in the world.

Thanks for having me. Yeah, it is my pleasure to have you here. So you have one of those books as I was saying that immediately made it to my top of the

list because it was so resonant with me. Selfless, the social creation of you, all of which we will get into.

And given the subject matter of the book, I want to do start by asking you what social group

were you a part of in high school and what impact did that end up having on where you ended up with your life

and what you know doing with your career? You know I talk about this a little bit in the

book but I moved around a lot so a of people, I think the typical experience is you go to

grad you go to grammar school with a certain set of kids, you go to middle school

with those same kids or some subset and you go to high school with those same people

and you end up in some

category some groups and click. That was not my experience. So I went to six

different schools before college in two different high schools.
