What is up everyone? Welcome back to the Epic Gardening Podcast. I'm here again with

0:07.0

Erica Nolan of Instar Farms, which actually we need to talk about why you named it that I have my

0:13.2

sneaking suspicions but anyways we're back and we're talking about Erica's favorite

0:17.6

apps tools and techniques for running her garden and I've got my own favorite so maybe I'll pepper a couple of mine in as well, but I'm always

0:26.0

curious to hear other people's methods because you know you pick up a little tidbit here and

0:30.3

there and your gardening game improves. So Erica what would you say, you know what,

0:35.6

let's start it off like this, like if you only had to have one app, what would that app be?

0:42.1

Skyview Light.

0:44.0

Oh, I did not expect that.

0:46.0

1:15.2

those are the basic needs of a plant, right?

1:17.6

So if you don't meet those needs optimally,

1:21.2

you are not going to have the best result and light is huge and so

1:26.9

the thing with the sky view light app it's free hence the light and the

1:31.1

tail end of that I think you can buy the full version, but you don't need to in order to use it how I do, which is to basically locate the sun and measure exactly hour for hour a space and where the sun is

1:49.4

hitting it for how long.

1:51.3

So the app is actually intended to like view the sky and look at

1:55.5

where the stars are located and planets and stuff like that, but that includes the

1:59.5

sun. And in the app you can like favorite the sun and so it's easy access when you go in just go to your favorites go to the sun and look for the sun in the sky and you know you can basically use that to measure the light for a particular
