This is CBS Eye on the World. Here's John Batchelor. I welcome my colleague Judy Dempsey, a senior scholar for the Carnegie

Endowment for International Peace. She's in Berlin, and the Chancellor of all the Germans is in Canada at the G7 meeting

and the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Canada, making remarks about the current events,

especially the war in Iran and Israel. The comment from the chancellor at the summit, this regime, meaning Tehran, is very weakened

and will probably not return to its former strength, making the future of the country uncertain.

We will have to wait and see.

This is a broadcast remark at the G7. The Chancellor added,

Europe's offer of diplomatic assistance should talks resume, stands as it did before the attacks.

Judy, I come to you on this because there's indication here that Germany, France, and Britain, while not siding with either a combatant, have a remaining issue to play, which is the suspect nuclear weapons program.

At this point, how is the ferocious bombing of Iran and the missile attack on Israel?

How is it being presented on German media?

Is it side picking or is it standing back?
