Summary

(John 4:46-54) There is no pain like family pain! Yet, Christ is enough in every family context. The healing of the nobleman’s son teaches us that Christ must be the object of our faith, that faith is strengthened by believing the word of the living God, and that God is never early or late. Then John chapter 3, he talked about the miracle that no one

saw, but it happened. It was the miracle of the new birth that changed Nicodemus, and yes, it's the

1:01.4

same miracle that we all experience when we come into an experience of the grace of God and come to

1:07.1

know Christ for ourselves. When you come to John chapter number four, you come to yet

1:12.2

another one of those miracles that is recorded only by John, and interestingly enough, it is also

1:17.5

in Cana of Galilee. Listen to John chapter four beginning in verse number 46, so Jesus came again

1:24.7

into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain

1:29.9

nobleman whose son was sick at Copernium. Do you see a parallel here between the two

1:36.8

miracles in Cana of Galilee at the beginning of Jesus' miracle? There is both a comparison and a contrast.

1:43.9

The contrast is that one is a happy occasion and the other is a sad occasion.

1:48.1

In the first, they're rejoicing and there's a wedding going on.

1:52.2

In the second, they're fearful of a funeral.

1:55.1

They're worried over the sick child.

1:58.2

It's a sad environment.
