We have come in our study of the miracles of Jesus

to an amazing account of the Lord healing Peter's mother-in-law.

Now, we don't know a great deal about Peter's mother-in-law and the whole context,

but we know he was married, obviously.

Pretty difficult to have a mother-in-law without having a wife.

So he has a wife, he has a family.

Peter's going to witness a lot of miracles in many places with many people,

but don't you know the great miracles, the ones that impact you perhaps the most,

are the ones that hit closest to home? This particular miracle is recorded in Matthew,

in Mark, and in Luke. You'll find that very frequently, what are called the synoptic gospel records, Matthew, Mark,

and Luke, parallel accounts, and they don't compete, they complete. They each provide unique

perspectives and some understanding of each of these stories. I wish we had time to look at all three
