It's Wednesday, October 9th. I'm in the northern part of Beirut along the Mediterranean Sea.

Israel's been bombing the southern side of the city five to ten miles away,

but I've yet to hear or feel an explosion.

People here are nervous, anxious,

but they're out on the street street going about their lives.

The buzz you hear in the background is an Israeli drone.

It's up there in the sky, day and night, pretty much all the time.

I've been walking around trying to talk to people, but it's been difficult.

People are just afraid to talk openly about how they feel.

But I did get a couple of interviews.

This one with a 41 year old Muslim,

he didn't want to say, whether he's Shia or Sunni.

So I don't need to know your name. That's okay. But are you from this area?

I'm from here from this area? I'm from here, from this area.

Oh, from this area.

What's it like now in Beirut for you?

For us, it's a difficult situation, but we always pray for God and we are very sure that we will win.

You will win. We will win.

What will that be like a victory? How do you see that?

Victory.

In wars there is no victory without sacrifices.

And we are now sacrificing for all the Middle East.
