The manager tools feedback model starts with asking the direct, can I give you some feedback,

right?

And at least initially, if a direct says no, we can choose not to

share the feedback. It's perfectly reasonable to say, okay, and walk away.

It's even more important that if we have new listeners, it's not just that we can choose not to share the feedback.

If we ask a question, and the direct says, no,

we don't share the feedback, right?

Yeah, you're absolutely right.

And my point really was, hey folks folks you don't have to some managers believe no no I

have to I can't walk away but okay we'll get to that I will say this I think you know

you and I have we have fought this battle with people for years and

years and years now I'm amazed that it's taken us 11 years to put out this guidance

even though we've touched on it briefly in other places we thought we'd sort of put it all together in one place and it actually came from a question from an HR guy, Tom, who said, you know, what do I do if I've got a guy who's just really pushing back hard?
