Summary

“Normal” can sound comforting, but it can also be a quiet cage. When we stop questioning what’s widely accepted, we start calling burnout, lukewarm relationships, and daily stress “just life” even when they’re slowly draining our joy. 1:52.7

tolerate or situations in their life that seem stressful and awful, but hey, they're just like

1:58.1

everybody else, right?

2:00.5

Wrong. That's where dangerous normalization

2:03.8

comes in. People tend to call things normal when they're just familiar, when it's not

2:13.2

necessarily disrupting anybody, when it's widely accepted. I've had this experience in my life

2:19.8

when things are going so well in certain situations and I'm so happy and I'm like, gosh, I really

have to tone down this joy because it's not normal. And then I think to myself, what if I'm the
