I kind of can't believe it, but we are very quickly coming up on 10 years, 10 years of Code Switch as a podcast. That's bananas. Oh, my gosh.

Golly, a decade is like an eternity in podcast years. It really is. I remember back in the day when it was me and Shereen and that whole iteration of the Code Switch Mass is like working on scripts and riffing and reporting and editing. And then being in the office till mad late on Tuesday nights trying to get the pot out for Wednesday morning, banana, so it was like yesterday.

Oh my gosh, but like so many of the conversations Code Switch was having back in 2016

have changed and evolved as our society has changed.

But in the early days, so much of what Coach Switch talked about was interpersonal stuff, you know, like race and dating and friendships and family dynamics.

Lots of convos about how to show up for people.

Say it, Parker, say the A word. Come on.

Yeah, man.

How to be an ally.

Yep.

And allyship is now treated as this kind of cringe thing.
