international law professor Heidi Matthews and the world court's decision that

Israel's hold over the occupied territories is illegal, Molly White on how the

On July 19th, the International Court of Justice, nicknamed the World Court,

issued a ruling declaring Israel's occupation of

Gaza, East Jerusalem, and the West Bank to be a violation of international law.

What does this mean if it means anything at all?

Here to answer that question is Heidi

Matthews. She's an assistant professor at the Osgood Hall Law School of York

University in Toronto. Among her specialties are international criminal law and

the law of war, meaning unlike many people who opine on these topics,

she actually knows what she's talking about.
