So we're in this series called Relatable. The question we're asking is, are you able to relate?

And we've come around a couple of different ideas getting to this week and a part of next week

where we're going to be talking about dating. And I just want to get that out there. That's what it's all about.

And I feel a little bit odd about that for a couple of reasons. Number one, I don't want to turn church into a relationship seminar.

And I'm not saying relationships aren't important, but I'm not going to try to do my doctor feel or whoever

would be appropriate and try to get all up in your business and tell you how to do what you need to do.

If it's not about Jesus and it's really not about the power of the gospel, I don't really want to do it.

And so I'm not interested in going, oh, I think it would be really cool if we did like a dating series.

Everybody would be interested in that. You know, that's not really enough motivation for me as your pastor.

I really want to talk about Jesus more than anything else.

And so if Jesus and the gospel fit into dating, then this is something we should talk about.

Too big disclaimers today. I'm not currently dating.

And I went on my last singles date in August. Oh, wow. Of 1986.

So let you think about that one for a minute. Some of you are going, wow.

Okay, that was the last century.

So for 28 years and nine months, I have not been on a singles date.

So I am not well versed in the single scene.

So you can discount everything. I'm going to say tonight because of that.

The number two disclaimer is it worse. Nate, I am a guy.

And so guys are clueless about relationships.

Easy.
