Hey everybody welcome back to Cold Case Murder Mysteries. I'm your host Ryan Kraus

returning for another adventure into the harrowing depths of darkness,

this time examining the mysterious unsolved disappearance of 50-year-old Robert Hoagland from

Newtown, Connecticut on July 28, 2013.

Robert was a family man who met his wife Lorry in college while both were studying to become

culinary professionals. Robert went on to work for years as a chef in various capacities

before switching careers shortly before his disappearance, instead becoming a real estate appraiser

who worked independently.

He supplemented that income by working as a clerk at a law firm, a position he acquired through an

acquaintance.

Meanwhile, Lorry is a culinary arts teacher at New Town High School where Sandy Hook shooter

Adam Lanza had been a student prior to the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Lansa had first gone to the high school on that day to perpetrate the massacre, but upon

realizing that a cop was outside the building, he changed directions and went to the elementary

school.

Most people believe there is absolutely no connection between that event and Robert's

disappearance and that any attempt to connect the two is the product of conspiratorial internet maniacs, but they're wrong.

There is, without a doubt, a link between the two cases, if only psychological and or symbolic in nature.

This disappearance happened only months after the shooting, and in the same section of New

Town, Sandy Hook, where the Hoagland family lived.

So if there's anything going on in Robert's life that resonates with the situation that

occurred at Sandy Hook Elementary, it's going to hit him hard.
