A goal for myself and I would suggest it to you too is to become a Renaissance man or a

Renaissance woman.

I was reading this morning in my library, I've got this chair and I sit there and I read

much as I can when I'm not too busy with other things and I was reading one of the great

classic books.

In fact, the book that I was given by my grandfather Charles when I was 16 years old, a series

of books will an aerial derand called the Story of Civilization.

For those of you who have heard my TED talk, I talk about the story of getting these books

and how they changed my life and set me on a path for searching for this grand theory

of everything, figuring out the good life.

I was just rereading it.

It's a 11 volume set, so you never finish reading it.

I've been reading it, like I said, since I was 16 and I think it's 10,000 pages.

There's a line that the author, Will Durant, says, he says, we spend too much time thinking

about the last 24 hours and not enough time studying the last 6,000 years.

The answer for you and for your life, whatever problem you might find, whatever problem

I find myself in, right now I'm dealing with hiring a lot of people, have invested in

some different companies and you always got the problems of the frustrations of dealing

with this person and that person and different personalities, meshing in companies that I'm

investing in.

I go back to the answers and I was reading about the Baroque period of art.

Whether you consider yourself super intellectual or just an average person, it doesn't matter.
