Hello, welcome to another episode of Pop Bear Hikes.

We're going to start things off with our tip of the week.

This week's tip is how we deal with those smelly boots and shoes, whatever your choice of

footwear is.

They stink after sometimes even just a day of hiking, especially in the summer.

Well, somebody has passed this on to me, well, it's been over 10 years now.

At the end of the day, whether it's when you get home, it's at your car or at your

campsite, take the insoles out of your shoes, let them fully dry.

We know they're drying out on the outside and don't feel dry on the inside,

but all the crud, the fungus, the mold, that all takes place

in this area between your insult and the bottom of your shoe.

That's where all the stink and all the offensive odors start.

So a way to prevent this is to take the insoles out.

It's not a guarantee, but it's been working for me.
