Welcome back to the morning mindset. I hope you're ready today to get your minds

aligned with the truth of God. We've got to do this every single day of our lives and I hope that it doesn't become wearisome to you. I hope

you don't think of it that way. I hope you think of it as a wonderful opportunity of

grace that God gives us each and every day to take the time to clear

our head to take a deep breath and to reset our compass for the day so that we can

be headed in the right direction.

episode. We are looking at 1st Peter chapter 4. We're in

verse number 7 today and Peter says the end of all things is at hand. Therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers.

Let's pause for a moment and let's consider something that's a little bit difficult but

something we need to kind of get our brain around. Peter who lived in the first

century, okay that was 20 centuries ago, we're now in the 21st century, Peter says,

the end of all things is at hand. Now that's kind of an imminent sounding phrase isn't it like it's just right around the

corner. That's how Peter viewed it. Peter saw the death and resurrection of Jesus

Christ as the turning point in history and that somewhere right

around the corner was the very end of all things. All of history is what it

sounds like he's talking about. So how do we reconcile that
