A year ago, we lost a legend, one of the greatest basketball players of all time,

and one of the most dominant competitors this world has ever seen.

Kobe Bryant.

While it's nice to idealize and immortalize his legacy,

what's even better is to identify the mindset that made him great,

to make it practical and work with intensity and precision to apply the same standards to our careers as athletes. Let's be like Kobe.

Welcome to the sports motivation podcast. It's me, Nees Shobo. And this is the last episode, last episode of Be Like Kobe. We've been spending the last four days. And today's the fifth day, really breaking down Kobe's mindset and breaking it down in a way that's very practical for us so we can hold ourselves to that same standard because that's what we love about Kobe.

And one of the things that I admire most about Kobe is this mentality he has of really wanting to dominate every facet of his life.

And that's the thing that's important is understanding that we have to have so much energy.

Because for like Natalia and Gianna when they were babies, especially Natalia because

they're just doing prime years, and I go to practice and I train and I play the game and

I come home and I'd be sore and I'd be tired.

She wants to go swimming, she wants me to take

her to the park, she wants to just jump on my back or whatever the case may be, you can't

say I'm too tired, I'm going to lay down.

That's not fair.

She don't know what the hell's going on, right?

And if this was a game, you'd suck it up and play.

I play games with the flu.

I play games with a 102 degree fever, man.

You can't do that for you can.
