Hello, my friends, and welcome back.

It is time for the morning mindset.

I hope you are ready to get your mind in your heart aligned with the truth of God.

This is not a little trivial thing that we do each morning.

This is a discipline that we're building, day by day, to teach ourselves,

to train ourselves, to think like God thinks.

And that may sound like an audacious thing, but that's what the Bible encourages us

to do.

And that is what the book of Proverbs in particular encourages us to do

by teaching us to pursue the quality of wisdom.

Today, we are looking at Proverbs chapter 6, verses 6 through 8.

And you may have noticed the title of this episode says,

Be lazy like an ant.

Now, I hope that that title caught you a little bit off guard

because it sounds strange that I would say that.

And the reason I'm saying it that way is because we are to be lazy like an ant in this respect.

Ants are not lazy.

And so do you get the point?

We are not to be a lazy people as followers of Jesus Christ.

Now, I want you to think for a moment, what is the benefit to you or to others of laziness?

Can you even think of one?

There is perhaps the, I don't know, accidental benefit of rest,
