And I thought I would do so in light of the kickoff

of college football season.

College football season is the best time of the year

and pretty much every way it's the best weather of the year.

It's back to school, it's football season beginning,

it's baseball going into the playoffs,

it's the leaves changing, it's the new season.

It really should be the beginning of our calendar year

ought to really be in September, October, summer.

That's really should be where the year changes.

It doesn't make sense to change in the middle of winter

to a new year to me.

It just feels sneaky.

The same way they try to change the calendar date at midnight

and go from PM to AM and say it's the next day

...
