organizations and we're very pleased to welcome Trevor Asserson, who is the leading lawyer and

longstanding campaigner against bias at the BBC that we want to talk about.

Mr. Asserson led the report about the BBC with Dr.

Horan Shani Narkas and other data scientists. Trevor a very good evening to you.

We welcome you to help our audience understand what the BBC has now wrought, the prejudice

which is obvious when you hear the broadcast.

However, you note in your report that the BBC is in breach of the Royal Charter,

BBC's World Charter, what is that?

Good evening. The World Charter is the basis on which the BBC was set up in the first place.

And historically, it was set up to do two things really.

One was to provide content, but in a period when there was no content for the new invention of radio

and subsequently television, that void has been more than filled. So the only other real reason for it to exist is to provide impartial news.

And if, and in respect of that it gets paid 4 billion pounds by the British taxpayer every year.

So if it doesn't provide impartial news, then really it loses its raisant detch.

And that is what this report was about, was looking as to see whether or not it's succeeding

in its most important mission as set out in the Royal

Charter and in the guidelines which the BBC has itself adopted in order to

enable it to achieve that aim.
