Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson, as always. I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here on the

magnificent Monday edition of the yard. Yes, it's early in the morning. It is. It is. Couldn't sleep.

Decided to go ahead and record the show because we've got a busy day tomorrow. Of course, we got Mike Leach's press conference as we prepare for East Tennessee State.

An important game because it's the next game.

It's a game too because of what happened over the weekend in a southeastern conference.

You get that win.

Perhaps states elevated a little bit in the bull pecking order.

But of course, state wins these last two, which are very possible.

Put yourself in a situation to get a pretty good bowl game. Yeah, really good bowl game in many respects because the SEC's got to fill these

slots, a lot of parity in the league this year. And outside of Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee,

there's a lot of room for mobility in these last couple weekends. So state's got to take full advantage. We're going to recap the game as much as we don't want to. There were some positive or some negatives, some things that happened on the field, some things that happened in the stands. There's a lot of that to talk about. I'm going to be very forthright about this today. I'm going to be honest, not going to try to spin anything. I get accused of that sometimes, too. It's like I'm not negative enough and all of a sudden I'm some kind of polyana. The people that are around me will tell you that I'm not. You know, there are some things that I'm tired of too. And I'll tell you, the number one thing that I'm tired of is not being a serious factor in the SEC West. Now that's now,

Mike Leach is the caretaker of the program right now, right? So a lot of that burden rides on his

shoulders. But to be honest with you, outside of the 2014 season, we really haven't been a real

factor in the West. You know, we've ridden that 1998 appearance, and yes, it's only one we have.

We're happy to have it.

We've ridden that.

Man, that's ancient history now.

The players of today weren't even alive the last time we went to Atlanta.

And so it's time for us to kind of take a step.

99, of course, we had a chance, but again, that's ancient history.

That was another century ago.

And so I'm tired of Liberty Bowls and Music City Bowls and things like that.
