Hi, everybody. Welcome back to the Be There in Five podcast. I'm Kate Kennedy, your host. Did I tell you guys, you know how like when you're searching for something or like everything now has like AI summaries at the top? And I was, what website was I on? I was looking for something having to do with my own podcast. And the way be there and five was AI described was, um, chaotic

deep dives with oddly emotional payoffs. Red meat a filth. I'm like, I guess that is what this is.

Um, anyway, in case you missed it, a couple weeks ago, I shared that I'm taking a bit of a writing sabbatical and for the foreseeable brief future will be kind of experimenting a bit with pulling episodes, you know, from the vault, if you will, from behind a paywall to let them

see the light of day on the main feed, ones that I think maybe are strong but forgotten about,

kind of got buried under all the yapping over the years, or kind of mash up episodes that are

different cuts from multiple episodes that are thematically similar. I have like a thread I want

to tie that I figure out over time, which some of those will be coming, or that are kind of like classics that I can do director's cuts of in some way. And I've been trying to think of, well, not only episodes that are submitted often in my, like, on my website I have in this searchable archive page, which is not updated. I, there's, you can put it, like, nominate your favorite episodes because I, I need to make, like, a be there in 5101 kind of like syllabus. And I'm always interested in what you guys think. And I, in these two episodes are constantly named. And when I think of, you know, like Las Culturistas podcast, they'll ask their guests, what is the, what do they say? like what is the culture that made you say culture is for you? I'm always curious, like, what is the Beth culture that made you say the Beth culture is for you? And I feel like two episodes in their relation to nostalgia and the millennial experience called Bath and Body Jerks and Visco Girl Wash Your Face. For many of you, my impression is that is the Beth culture that made you say Beth culture

is for you.

And when I say that I don't mean me, it always sounds very indulgent to talk about podcast

lore because I'm the only host here.

This is a community venture because over time, the podcast became a lot about crowdsourcing

and hearing from you via DM, Instagram question box, having you write in. And it expanded

this podcast's subject matter in such a transformative way. It altered, I think, ultimately,

what this show became because I think your vulnerability and sharing your stories brought out a lot
