And I thought it's been a hot minute since we updated on Barry Morphew.

So for this episode today, we're going to jump into that.

So what's new with Barry Morphew?

Let's just recap really quickly.

Suzanne Morfew was reported missing on Mother's Day 2020.

Barry was arrested for her murder on May 5th, 2021, but nine days before his trial was set to begin,

prosecutors dropped those charges, and Barry went free.

In fact, one of the prosecutors, Lisa Stanley, was disbarred due to her handling of the case

with Colorado state regulators saying that her handling of the case with Colorado state regulators saying that her

handling of the case called the prosecution to run aground. She is appealing that decision. The big

break in the case that investigators were waiting for happened in September of 2023. Suzanne's

skeletal remains were found about 45 minutes away from her home. They did find some of her clothing and her cancer port was found with her remains. Her feet bones and bike shoes were missing and her remains showed no signs of any scavenger activity or insect activity, which has led at least one forensic anthropologist to suggest that

Suzanne's remains had been moved prior to her being found. Barry was indicted in June of last year

for Suzanne's murder, and he was arrested in Goodyear, Arizona. After his extradition and hearing,

he is a free man after posting $3 million bill. He is pleaded not

guilty and he wears a GPS device. And when he has court appearances, he is often accompanied
