We want to talk about a recent report that was released by the Barnag group that revealed some surprising information about American

Christianity. Dr. Bernard, you probably recall back in March, George Barna, the famed Christian

researcher, released a report that shocked a lot of people. You took note of it at the time. According to Barners research,

only 16% of self-proclaimed Christians in the United States believe in the Trinity.

Now, that might not be shocking to you or I, but we constantly hear from people who insist that all real Christians believe in the Trinity

that is an established doctrine from the earliest days of Scripture.

So this information, I think, caught a lot of people, this research caught a lot of people

off guard.

What do you feel like are the main takeaways from Barnas research for oneness Pentecostals?

I think the main takeaway is we don't need to be intimidated by the thought of other Christians

believing in the Trinity. We simply need to preach the truth of scripture. We don't need to be

anti-Trinitarian, but simply non-Trinitarian.

Preach that God is one.

Preach that Jesus is the one true God manifests in the flesh.

Preach the power of the name of Jesus.

Repentance from sin.

Baptism in the name of Jesus Christ as the correct biblical formula.

And I think we should be confident in proclaiming our message and not be intimidated.
