Summary

A former college student in Florida had his plea offer for the arbitrary murder of a well-loved couple in 2016 accepted by a judge on Monday, allowing the now 25-year-old defendant to plead guilty by reason of insanity and avoid serving any jail time for the crime.

According to WPLG, a news station in Florida, Austin Harrouff, who was found by police chewing off one of the victim's faces, will now be sent to a secure mental health facility until both doctors and a judge determine that he is no longer a danger to society.
