I have a confession to make. I am a recovering slob.

I started losing control of my weight in high school and I just started eating

whatever I wanted and I let myself go and I packed on a ton of weight

through college and even early into my marriage.

I got to the point where I was just miserable.

I was carrying around all this extra weight and so I decided I was going to do

something about it. I was too young and I was too unhealthy to be

where I was at in life and so I got a book and I found a strategy that said

if you'll just count calories and track your calories and only eat so many

calories that you're going to be fine and you have a calorie deficit and it burns

the fat and well it worked a little bit. I did it.

I did it religiously, but I felt like crap because the calories I was eating

were that healthy. You know, I thought I can eat twinkies and ice cream and

sugar and just all this junk as long as I hit those calories and the strategy I was using,
