Hello and welcome to Happy to Be Here, the show for Recovering Perfectionists,

and they're perpetually curious about what to read, eat, watch, think about, and delight in wherever you might happen to be. I am your host, Greta Johnson, and I am so excited that you are here. I feel like, I don't want to be too dramatic about it, but it feels to me like

this show is like maybe sort of decades in the making. For 11 years, I hosted a podcast

called Nerdette, which is a show that I started with my buddy Trisha, approximately 17,000 lifetimes

ago. It was canceled in April of 2024, and I have been scheming ever since. So now I am back

with a new theme song, new logo, new show name, same good vibes.

I want this show to feel like a warm drink, like your favorite smell, or like a really, really good

hug. Every week I'm going to be talking with friends and creative humans about all kinds of

stuff so we can all feel like we learned a little about a lot.

And this time, I'm making the show as an independent producer, which is also a whole new

adventure.

Today's episode, my first one in this new adventure, is going to be really fun.

We are going to make cookies with a professional pastry chef.
