Corey Tim Boone said, when a Christian shuns fellowship with other Christian, the devil smiles.

When he stops studying the Bible, the devil laughs.

But when he stops praying, the devil shouts for joy.

And it's in that moment that I want us to learn and start this journey today that we're going to get this right today.

And I think this could become one of the most encouraging scriptures, but one of the most truthful scriptures, because it's going to tell us where we are, but how to get to where we need to be. And so I want us to be challenged today in these next few moments. So I want to share with you, I want to give you, just in these next few moments, I want to give you really something that I always do.

Has anyone ever said this to you, these words? I have good news and I have, and then they always

ask the second question. Which one do you want to hear first? Well, Cindy asked me that last week.

And so she goes, I have good news and bad news.

And I say the same thing every single time. I said, I want the bad news first because I want to leave rejoicing.

So that's the way I do it. So I, in that same spirit, that's what we're going to talk about today in regards to prayer.

I want to give you the bad news first and then the good news. So bad news, good news, and I want you to get ready as we begin to do. Because what I'm about to speak on on this portion of the prayer series,

because you prayed, is really going to give confidence to the new followers of Jesus.

But it's also going to give people that have been at this and been in the faith a long time

a humility to an old disciple that sometimes we forget that we don't know everything,

we don't have everything right, we need help.

And for those that don't know Jesus, this is going to become a big help,

because God is going to help you in one of the greatest, in one of the greatest ways today.

I've been in ministry now for over 40 years, and this is what I know is that it seems that I realize that the older I get, the less I know.

And I'm learning that more and more.

I'm realizing that God is so vast.

He's so big.

I don't have a handle on this.
