When I saw the Backstreet Boys are coming to the sphere for a residency for like, I don't know, two or three weeks, I texted Claire and I was like, I think I'm willing to give this another go. And Claire said, back, you're activated charcoal and let's go.

Hi, everybody. Welcome back to Older and Wilder with Joy and Claire. I am in my

Happy Thursday. Childhood bedroom, not really. I'm in my, the bedroom at my parent house that I lived in

for just over a month. And it feels weird to be back here recording because it's like the good old

days of living in limbo with no house. In Westcliffe. In Westcliffe. Yeah. Are you guys? You're just visiting. I'm just here for the weekend. Yeah. I mean, so the long and short is we're getting a puppy soon. And probably around February 26th is kind of the delivery date of the puppy.

I was kind of doing the math in my head of like, when am I going to be able to see my parents or like go to Westcliffe? And when you have a new puppy, you can't really go anywhere. You got to like hunker down for at least the first couple months. So like, you know, they can't really, they're not street legal. They don't have their vaccines. And so while you can hang out with people that have vaccinated dogs, they're not street legal. That's what they call them. They call them street legal. So I decided to come out here this weekend because I was like, it's a long weekend. And I'm not going to be able to come out to West Club for at least another couple months. And I don't like that feeling of like not coming out here because it's

just so grounding. But we haven't been here since October since we moved. So it's just a little

getaway while we can. So I'm here and it felt it was just so bizarre driving out here because it was

like the last time I drove, I mean, really kind of out here to visit was literally

having no house to go back to. So here we are. But it's so nice. And they've visited you a

yeah, they've visited us a couple. I mean, yeah, they're out at our house all the time. Like it's,

but I just, I always like to come out here and I always feel bad when I haven't been out here in a while. So yeah, we're just hanging out. And I was showing my mom the video of the Backstreet Boys on the SNL 50 like celebration concert. So SNL's 50th year anniversary. They had a big concert at Radio City

Music Hall. And the Backstreet Boys came out. I don't, if anyone didn't watch it,

I highly recommend go on Peacock and watch the show because it was really cute. But the all celebrities,

all celebrities. I mean, if you've been on the show, if you've worked on the show, I mean,

can you imagine 50 years of people being involved in SNL? That's like every possible celebrity you can

imagine. So many, so many people, so many people. So yeah, so we were watching that and I was showing

them because my mom and I love the back street boys. My mom loves, I want it that way. I mean,

who doesn't, right? But if you didn't watch this show, all the celebrities are kind of like

hoity-toity in their chairs clapping for the first few bands. You see this energy shift when Backstreet

Boys comes on stage. Like, it is, it gives me the chills. I got like full body chills when I was watching this because it was so cute that all these celebrities, the first few musical acts are great. You got Miley Cyrus, you have bad bunny. You've got Eddie Vedder. You've got like really heavy hitters. No one unifies more than the backstreet boys. Like the backstreet boys, they announced them. They all come out. They have this like, they're all standing behind a door and the doors open and the backstreet boys appear. And everyone leaps to their effing feet and goes bananas. And it is just Paul Rudd is having a great time. John Hamm is like singing at the top of his lungs. Adam Sandler, Andy Cohen, Anderson Cooper are losing their ever-loving minds, like falling out of their chairs. I'm like, everyone just turned into a 15-year-old girl when the backstreet boys came out. And they sounded great. It was really cute. And it was just like, all right, we need more of this. So I was showing my

mom that. My mom was really cute. She's like, turn it up, turn it up. And so we were just jamming.
