Backcountry hunting, whether it's a mountain goat hunt in the Rocky Mountains of British

Columbia or a drop camp hunt in the swamps of the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska, is generally far

more rigorous than your average white-tail hunt or prong horn

antelope hunt baited bear hunt or what have you. Often backcountry hunting is

type 2 fun.

You know, the sort of thing where you struggle through uncomfortable challenges and thoroughly

enjoy the process.

Backcountry hunting is the territory of tough men, or to use a classic term, hard men.

And that is what we're going to talk about today.
