All right here's something to think about in the backcountry your rifle or bow if you're hunting during the archery season is your single most critical tool if your tent collapses under a heavy snow load you can probably still gut it out, sleep under your collapse tent, use it like a tarp, whatever.

If your backpacking stove goes south, you can build a fire

and find a way to heat water, boil water, make anything from your freeze-dried mills to coffee or whatever you count on in the
