We have reached the end of another tumultuous week in the Independent Republic, ladies and gentlemen,

and we have once again learned an awful lot. We've learned that the Russians are constantly trying to bug us and failing.

We've learned that the Labour Party in the hands of Keir Starmer is just as barking mad as

it ever was under Jeremy Corbyn. We've also learned that Chris Grayling is just as useless as he

ever was. And we've also learned that our judiciary is just as out of touch with the mood of the

nation as it has ever been. Of course, I'm talking about the Shemima Begham situation. Today,

Boris Johnson will address the nation and urge everyone to get back to

work. This isn't helped, of course, by his other refrain that we should all wear masks while doing so.

He will promise a £3 billion fund for the NHS to cope with the potential second wave of coronavirus in the winter.

And he will also explain what his plan is for a rollout and a disappearance of social distancing measures.

Also, what we'll be exploring is what is going on with Matt Hancock.

He's called today for an urgent review into Public Health England and the way that they have operated throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

I think he's nailed it.

I think he's finally put the finger on what it is that has gone wrong.

If anything has gone wrong,

if anything has gone wrong with the way this government handled the coronavirus crisis,

and that is that Public Health England is quite simply not fit for purpose.
