I'm talking this morning about Back to the Basics.

I really actually feel the fire of God in the house this morning.

And I feel, if I'm just being really honest, I felt a few weeks ago, like we were kind of in a

season of sleepiness a little bit. Am I the only one? Anybody else wave at me? Did you feel that too?

Okay, so I wasn't the only one. I know Michael came last week and taught so beautifully and just

provoked us again. But I don't know about you, but I really want to burn

brightly with first love for Jesus. And it starts with us. And I'm asking the Lord in this

season to provoke me to want to spend more time with him. I want to get past the elementary level.

I am past that. Thank you, Lord. But I never want to get past the elementary level. I am past that.

Thank you, Lord.

But I never want to just stay just getting by.

I really want the Lord to provoke me to go after him with more.

I never want to become a professional Christian.

I say this often.

We don't need that in this generation.

There's too many of them.

I want to be childlike. And the longer you walk with the Lord, the more you realize, the more you really need him.

And so I did feel a shift.

I feel that this morning, and I think it's the Lord wooing us to come after him with more hungry hearts and to go after him with more

first love and to not be professional and to not just cruise on by because we can so easily do that

in the Christian life. And this goes for students, church members, summer is coming. Typically,
