You're about to listen to a BBC podcast and I'd like to tell you a bit about the

podcast I work on. I'm Dan Clark and I commissioned factual podcasts at the BBC.

It's a massive area but I'd sum it up as stories to help us make sense of the forces shaping the world.

What podcasting does is give us the space and the time to take brilliant BBC journalism

and tell amazing compelling stories that really get behind the headlines.

And what I get really excited about is when we find a way of drawing you into a subject

you might not even have thought you were interested in.

Whether it's investigations, science, tech, politics, culture, true crime, the environment,

you can always discover more with a podcast on BBC Sounds. So we're on the road for the Scrum 5 podcast this week. We've got a few little stop-offs because the

regions are having a bit of a trade-off here, I think.

It's good days out, brought the family out here to tell.

And thankfully it's our day off today, so we won't be in a rush to get back to Cardiff yet and try and go

taste some delicacies of the Welsh word and whatnot so far so good.

I kind of had a vibe that you would be enjoying the smells around the place as much as me.

I haven't had lunch and I walked straight past all the food stores and I thought it would be good to stop now,

but I'm not going to upset Nick.

Probably you know, we always, we've lived in a few places now and it's always good to indulge

in the culture and my little one was born in Wales anyway so it's pretty good to bring her up here

and into the country and for them to enjoy the real Welsh lifestyle.
