It's awesome to be here at the World Series because after a rocky regular season, they

beaped up their protocols and here we are.

Major League Baseball has had a difficult year trying to play through this season, while

also keeping players and staff members safe after several became infected with COVID-19.

The MLB is putting the Marlin season on hold.

There are serious questions in the sports world about whether Major League Baseball can go

on.

While it wasn't even clear whether the World Series would happen this year, which forced

the league to take as many safety precautions as possible so that the games could continue.

Major League Baseball is back, but no peanuts, no cracker jacks, no fans in the stands.

Instead, cardboard cutouts filling seats.

Each team in the league ended up playing just 60 regular season games.

Normally it's 162 games, but they made it.

And now the Tampa Bay rays and the Los Angeles Dodgers are facing off in the 2020 World Series.

But all the games are being played in one stadium, a neutral site in Texas, far away from

Tampa and Los Angeles.

That reduces the risk that comes with traveling.

And the league actually did make the decision to allow fans to attend, but as you're about

to hear, it's been a very different experience in the stands this year.

This World Series definitely is the least exciting World Series I've been to.

Just the atmosphere is not the same, the energy was not the same.
