a question that honestly I myself have struggled with as a new entrepreneur and so for any

of y'all who are 9 to 5, you have your 9 to 5 but you have some side hustle income on

the side, which is fantastic and we support that and I think having additional streams

of income is always great but it's kind of like what they say is true right, mo money,

mo problems and it is tax season.

So our listener today, Maya is here to ask a question about how she can take advantage

of maybe some deductions or just how to approach her taxes for 2022.

So I have a 9 to 5 but I also have work outside of my 9 to 5, I guess you could call it

a side hustle or side hustle but I always struggle when it comes to tax time and I feel like

I'm not necessarily either writing off everything that I could be writing off or reducing

my tax burden significantly so that it makes sense for me to be any extra income.

So one of my questions is how do you reduce your tax burden when you do 1099 work?

I still owe the feds from last year and I'm pretty sure that I'm not going to get anything

back this year when I do my taxes.
