The race is on, and Sergio Perez claimed his first Red Bull victory in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix,

a race that left Max Westap and tired, and Lewis Hamilton emotional.

Well, Mark, do you remember when we came to Baku for the first time and everyone thought it was quite

dull and predictable? Yeah, that first race was, because the Formula 2 race had been absolutely terrifying.

And I think quite a few of the F1 drivers were watching that and sort of decided to behave

themselves.

But ever since then, ever since we got that first one out of the way, it's been a riot,

hasn't it?

And this one didn't disappoint either.

It did, though, Scott, for a time, convinced us that it might be straightforward,

because we went a while before we got into yellow flags and safety cars with Lance Stroules

off.

Yeah, but that's what this circuit does.

You know, Baku has produced some absolute wild races in its short history, but those

races are the sort of

Grand Prix that ignite really suddenly, and it is not coincidence. The factors that this

circuit have in its favour lend itself to creating these chaotic moments. And obviously today, twice it was tire blowouts, tire failures, whatever you want to call

them.

And there will obviously be suspicions that a big part of that is Pirelli's shortcomings.

But the other part of that is the nature of Baku.
