Time for the second edition of our awards and we got to just get right to it here. Let's talk

MVP of the NBA a year ago. I had I'm sorry a month ago

Yeah, also is the different year. I had Luca. Who did you have Harden? Yeah, I had Harden

So who is your MVP winner through the first two and a half months or so of this year?

It's still James Harden and I I will put the caveat on that

Yannis has been a better per-minute player and I mean with the offense and defense

I would say Harden has been better offensively but obviously there's a huge gulf between those guys defensively

Yannis will be mentioned in defensive player of the year and

Harden most distinctly will not but a big part of value is actually being on the floor

I mean we saw that when the rockets got absolutely waxed by the pelicans a few days before the end of the year and

Harden has played

1200 minutes Yannis has played 990 that's about let's say 200 that's like four or five games worth

That's a huge amount of value that Harden is bringing and for me that was enough to bridge the gap

Yeah, Luca not in it for me at number one because of the ankle issue. He's my number three this year

I do have Yannis number one. He's got a personal net rating bucks when he's on the floor

They're net rating is 15.9. I mean and a big part. Yeah, he's missed a few games

He missed a couple recently with back soreness but a lot of wise not playing as much as they're just blowing everybody out

And yeah, they're doing it some disproportionately against bad teams

But I mean they're having an historic season and he's the best player and I don't default to that all the time

But I think the individual stats are very similar actually Yannis now has higher usage than Harden

Interestingly enough and yeah, I get that hard and has played more minutes

I don't I think that especially with the team performance aspect that
