Hello and welcome to episode 355 of AvTalk. I am Ian Petchnik, here as always with Jason Rabinowitz. Hello, Ian. How are you in what I can only assume is very snowy, very cold, very bitter Chicago?

It is snowy. It is very, very cold. It's been cold for the past couple weeks. Let's see,

last Friday the kids were off school because the high temperature was one degree below zero

Fahrenheit. Oh, that's much lower Celsius. That was fun.

That was fun. But the sun has come out, which is nice. But apparently this weekend, of course,

as I'm supposed to be getting on a plane, we're supposed to have a large amount of lake effect

snow. So hopefully it stays close to the lake and does not affect too much as far as O'Hare is concerned.

But we'll see about that one. But it's been fun getting out and playing in the snow. So I'm glad

we were able to do that. And you've had some snow yourself. Oh, yes, we have. I think we had our

highest single-day snowfall in a very long time in years, at least. Handling it okay,

we'll get to a particular airline that's not handling at all that well. But yeah, here in New York,

last weekend, we got foot of snow, give or take, shut down all three other airports for

the most of the day on Saturday, which is the best

possible day for that to happen.

It's the least amount of traffic, I believe, on Saturdays.

And then things just kind of trickled back up, except for one particular airline that we'll

talk about.

And we'll talk about that in just a moment.

Yes, we will.

But we start in Washington, D.C., where the NTSB has just held its probable cause

hearing into the mid-air collision between a CRJ-700 and a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter

that occurred last January.
