We are here with Andrew Poor, who is a supervisor in the Flight Operations Department

for a major U-based cargo carrier and

we're gonna talk about all things cargo. Andrew thanks so much for joining us.

Thanks for having me. Welcome to the show buddy. So Andrew your job is the supervisor in the flight operations and I would love to hear what exactly that is and what you do.

What does that mean?

The department specifically that I work in is referred to as international flight clearance.

So I'm one of the supervisors there,

and what we're responsible for essentially

is gathering all of the governmental approvals

for all our cargo flights, whether that's an overflight permit, a landing permit, actual traffic rights for whatever country or countries we're going to and from, as well as some customs considerations, all those sorts of things fall under our responsibility in my department.

So there's an absolute ton of work that goes on behind the scenes at any airline and mainly our focus
