Today's episode is going to focus on the sensors needed for automated vehicles.

As I think a lot of people know,

Elon Musk is famously anti-LITAR,

thinks LIDAR is lame, thinks it's unneeded, but at the same time right now I think there's a growing

consensus in the industry that we do need more sophisticated sensors on vehicles,

especially to get to kind of level four or five automation.

Yeah there's definitely a combination of sensors being used right now but you made a

great point that there's definitely a need for better technologies. So cameras, radar,

infrared sensors, they all have advantages, but now there are ground penetrating LIDAR sensors as well.
