Okay, we're live. Hi, this is William Ramsey. Welcome to William Ramsey Investigates on today's show of a very special guest. A returning guest. His name is Paul Gosselin. And we spoke back in June of 2021 about his two-part book. We talked about the first part. And the title of the book is Flight from the Absolute Cynical Observations on the Postmodern West.

So today we're going to talk about volume two.

Very interesting add on to his original book.

This book talks more about critiques evolutionary thought and compares this kind of thought

to what's happened in the 20th century with horrible

events like the gulag archipelago so chnitzen and the holocaust and the final solution but

paul could talk more about that so paul goslin are you there hello there the first chapter of this volume two does get into some of the ethical issues that are derivative

of the postmodern worldview, but the rest of the book gets into the issue of the theory

of evolution.

And I start off looking at this from the social anthropologist's point of view.

That is, basically humans all over the world, I'll ask the big questions.

You know, where do we come from?

What are we doing here? How do we deal with this crazy world? How do we sort this out?

And that's how these are the questions that worldviews attempt to answer. And world views can be, you know, the traditional religions that have gods or goddesses

or whatever and they uh they they can also be materialistic ideologies that that do not refer

to any supernatural phenomenon or anything of that sort but but they attempt to sort out.

So these are ideologies that are derivative from the Enlightenment and more recently postmodernism.

So, but, so basically humans are all stuck with these questions and with, if somebody is working within a materialistic worldview, then you

still need an origin smith to explain to provide answers to the questions, where do we come

from? Because the answer to the question, where do we come from will affect everything

else that you build on that so so

these are very critical these are very critical questions and they will they will have influence
